CNA Classes in Florida – Schools, Salary, and License Info

In Florida, Prometric, Board of Nursing and the Florida Department of Health regulates the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.

Final Test

Those who want to become CNA in Florida must pass the Prometric Nurse Aide Exam.

The exam has two blocks – practical and theoretical block.

The theoretical block is available as a written or audio test, in both English or Spanish language.

The skills test is more complex, as you will be asked to assist the actor pretending to be patients.

The evaluation of the skill will focus on hand hygiene, indirect care behavior, and other skills.

The list of skills is random for every candidate.

You have three attempts to finish the test within two years of registration.

It is convenient that if you fail one block, you can retake only that block again and not the whole exam.

The complete testing fee is $140 in Florida.

Candidates who have to retake the skills test have to pay $105 and, and those who need to take the knowledge test have to pay $35.
